The Branson Parks & Recreation Department manages 15 separate park locations, ranging from small, neighborhood parks to large, wilderness areas. All together, these parks encompass more than 290 acres within the City and provide open green space and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. Here you will find basic information about these facilities, with park names, size, and a listing of the recreational features at each site. Pavilions in various parks are available for reservation by calling the park office beginning the first business day of the year. Reservation fees are as follows: $15 for 4 hours and $25 for 8 hours. Alexander
5.7 Acres This popular park, located near Lake Taneycomo off Hawthorn Street, features two youth ball fields, a tennis court, a playground, and a pavilion with picnic tables. Youth baseball, softball, and soccer games are frequently played at this park. Public restrooms are also available.
Branson RecPlex
42 Acres A 44,000 square foot recreation center featuring two gymnasiums, a fitness center, aerobic and exercise rooms, indoor track, locker rooms, community rooms, game room, concession area and offices. Outside the recreation center, a 12,000 square foot aquatics center features a zero-depth entry leisure pool, water slides, lap lanes, diving well, and shaded picnic area. Other outdoor facilities will include four baseball fields in a cloverleaf design with a concession building, soccer fields, pavilions, a two-mile walking trail, and a playground.
Branson North
1 Acre Branson North subdivision at the corner of Westwood and Woodridge Drives is the home of this neighborhood park, which features a playground.
Cantwell
1.4 Acres This beautiful neighborhood park, located in the Cantwell addition along Michel Lane, offers a playground and a popular, lighted basketball court.
Caudill Park
5 Acres This neighborhood park features a picnic area and gazebo. Parking is available. Future plans call for walking and hiking trails throughout this wooded area.
Eiserman
1 Acre This park is home to the popular Don Gardner Par 3 Golf Course and the Branson Community Center. The Branson Community Center offers a variety of social and recreational opportunities. There is also a playground with a covered pavilion and picnic tables nearby.
Epps
1 Acre The City's smallest developed park, Epps Park is located at the corner of Long and Adams Street. A small covered seating area provides a pleasant spot to sit in the shade.
John Nygard Memorial Park
2 acre This park was recently named in honor of former City of Branson Alderman John Nygard. The neighborhood park features a playground and benches and is located at the corner of Long and 5th Street.
Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area
130 Acres This nature park over looks Lake Taneycomo and features trails, a waterfall, and a cave in the very heart of Branson off Fall Creek Road. The trails range from mild to strenuous and have geo caches hidden in the park.
Murphy
5 Acres This neighborhood park, located in Murphy addition off Rose O'Neil Drive, features a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, playground equipment, and two covered pavilions with picnic tables. A beautiful scenic view of Branson is available from this park.
Old Branson School
1 Acre This popular area for visitors to picnic is located along Highway 76 next to the Dixie Stampede Dinner Theatre. Facilities include a covered pavilion and picnic tables. A public restroom resembles the one room schoolhouse that was once located on this site.
Parnell
1.5 Acres This neighborhood park is located at the end of Parnell Circle and offers two tennis courts and a playground. The tennis courts are very popular with the neighborhood and are most likely full during nice weather.
Stockstill
62 Acres This very popular park is a hub of activities for adults and children alike. The park, which sits along Roark creek, hosts softball and tennis leagues for all ages on its two softball fields and six tennis courts. Two large children's playgrounds can be found crawling with kids most all the time. Throughout the park, four separate covered pavilions are a popular community place for family picnics. A 1/2 mile paved walking trail surrounds the park. Public restrooms are available. A lighted soccer field and our newest feature, a skate park, can also be found in this 62 acre park. Two different entrances are available to access the park. You may either take west Hwy 76, north on Walnut Street, and then west on Stockstill Lane into the park; or take Hwy 248 west, south on Epps Road, and then east on Melody Penner Lane.
Sunset
10 Acres This park sits along Lake Taneycomo near Alexander Park and features a 6/10 mile paved walking path. A newly constructed disc golf course has been added to the park.
